Releasing stress through Reiki

Reiki is a spiritual practice meaning ‘universal life energy’. It
is a Japanese technique that is used to relieve stress, tension
and depression whilst promoting health and wellbeing.
When the flow of the ‘Life Force Energy’ is weakened,
disrupted or blocked, emotional or health problems tend to
occur.

Imbalances can be caused from a variety of situations
occurring in our lives, such as: emotional or physical trauma,
injury, negative thoughts and feelings, including fear, anger,
anxiety, exhaustion and stress, destructive lifestyle or
relationships, neglect of self and lack of love for oneself or
others. By not expressing emotions in a healthy manner, we
can cause major imbalances.

Used as a holistic treatment, Reiki brings about healing and
is used on the whole person in body and mind on physical,
mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

When we are relaxed or stressfree,
we are able to restore our
natural ability to heal.

Long term practice of Reiki will restore the general condition
of the body and mind. It will open the energy channels,
allowing the body to deal properly and naturally with stress
and build-up toxins therefore coping with anxiety and
depression.

“I have been a keen receiver of Reiki for over 6 years. Initially, as a
client it helped me through the trauma of losing my mother and
has since given me a sense of healthy well being.
Recognising the fulfilment and benefits of Reiki, I became more
intrigued and interested in the ethos of the technique. I decided
I wanted to learn more and after completing a Reiki course, I am
now a fully insured Usui Reiki Practitioner.” –
