Liverpool Food & Drink Festival- Sunday 12th September

Posted by Administrator | 6 July 2010

A true jewel in the crown of the city’s calendar of free
public events, the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival
2010 is now in its third year.

The family-friendly festival, which is organised by
SK Events, saw over 30,000 foodies enjoy the launch
event, in 2009, with celebrity chef Marco Pierre White
overseeing proceedings.

This year’s Festival launch day will take place in Sefton
Park on Sunday 12th September, where tourists and
city region residents alike rub-shoulders and share in
good food, live music and great company.

Over 80 of the top bars and
restaurants in the city will be
showcasing their culinary delights
alongside specialist producers with
lots of opportunities to sample
exciting and unusual dishes from all
the corners of the world.

The event also includes celebrity chef appearances,
a live kitchen theatre with demonstrations from
local chefs, a Champagne tent and VIP area, plus
an interactive children’s activity zone sponsored by
Family Go Live Magazine to keep budding Gordon’s
and Nigella’s quiet, with fun food-related educational
activities!

The launch day is followed by a week of themed
days supporting the 2010 Year of Health & Well-being
campaign for everyone to join together and make
positive changes to their health and the way they feel
about themselves.

Other activities during festival week include FACT
Cinema - showing food and drink related movies, for
food fans young and old, with more events being
announced in the run up to the festival week, along
with the announcement of this year’s celebrity guest
chef!
