Tell us a bit about the Lantern Theatre...
The Lantern Theatre is a long
awaited, not-for-profit fringe venue
seating 80 people. We are tucked
away just behind Liverpool One
on Blundell Street with plenty of
free parking. The Lantern Theatre
Company is the resident group
that will be hosting regular theatre
events for families and children
throughout the year.
What happens at Lantern Theatre Fairytale
Parties?
Our Fairytale Parties will be a theatrical production
of the classics; Peter Pan, Cinderella, Jack & the
Beanstalk and Sleeping Beauty, we also have other
productions available throughout the year which
you can book for your party, please see our events
listings. The audience will take part in a short drama
workshop before the play and will interact during the
performance. The birthday child will have a special
role to play in each production (optional). Following
the performance there will be theatre party games
and prizes for the children and a short disco.
What about Wii Parties?
Wii parties are hosted by your favourite characters
Mario & Luigi or Princess Peach! The audience
competes in a grand prix on Mario Kart or wii
sports. Great fun for all ages! There are comical and
interactive performances by the cast as they gear up
their teams to win! The Birthday Child will be invited
to stand on the podium at the end to receive their
prize and photograph with the cast. Wii parties will be
available from July 2010.
Tell us about the extras – is lunch or a goody
bag included?
There is a lunch bag included in the price per child
which will have a sandwich, drink, crisps and a few
goodies! These will be given out to the children after
the show for them to munch on during the party
games & disco.
What age groups are Lantern
Theatre Parties suitable for?
Our fairytale parties are suitable for
children aged 3 - 8 years and will be
tailored for the audience age group.
Wii parties are recommended for
children aged 6 +.
How long do the parties last?
All parties are 90 minutes from start to finish.
How much does it cost?
Parties are £9.95 per child with a minimum booking
of 20 children. There is a discount for larger groups of
over 35 children, please call for details.
